I have Vista home premium and cannot find the snipping. If anyone can send
me a copy of snipping tool.exe it would be appreciated, or show me to the
micro page where I can download it

Thank you

It may not be installed.
Go to:
control panel/programs & features and on the left panel click on...Turn
Windows features on or off.

Have you tried Start...All Programs...Accessories...Snipping Tool? Else, you
can go to Run...and type SnippingTool.exe. The path to the exe is
%SystemRoot%\system32\SnippingTool.exe where %SystemRoot% is Windows folder.
Other than that, I can't figure out why it wasn't installed by default. Good
luck!

Control Panel > Programs and Features, Turn Windows Features on or off (left
side bar), check Tablet PC Optional Components

This is a wonderful tool, I use screen prints a lot when writing directions
for "How To" instructions for friends of mine. Now I don't have to do screen
print then paste into "Paint" then save as JPG anymore.

Wonderful, Mark, if you had told poor Drew how to find it.

Drew, I just discovered the tool by doing a search for "snipping" in the
start menu. I got a popup box that asked me if I wanted to add the snipping
tool to the quick start menu. I said yes, and it was added there. Haven't
played around with it yet.

If you don't see it on the quick start menu, click on the double >> at the
right to find it. If you don't have the quick start menu enabled, right
click on an empty space on the bar at the bottom of your screen and put the
mouse over "Toolbars." Then go to Quick Launch and check it -- put a
checkmark beside it.

There are probably other ways to access the snipping tool, but this was the
first thing I came across.

You've also got to be sure it's installed.
Control Panel/Programs & Features on the left panel "Turn Windows
Features on & off".

Good point Frank about having it installed. It was already there in
accessories for me, but I am running Vista Ultimate.

Drew, do you have snipping Tool working?

I have Home Premium and can't find it either. It must only be included in
Ultimate, unless anyone knows differently.

It's on Home Premium. Key snip into the search window over the Start
button. Then make a shortcut.

I have it in the Vista Business version. Try going to Vista's help and
see if it gets pointed to when looking up snipping tool from the help
system.

If you don't have it there are any number of screen capture
applications which is all the snipping tool is some free, most others
dirt cheap you can get that have way more features then the snipping
tool does.

Try looking on TUCOWS.

Have you gone to Control Panel > Programs and Features, clicked the link Turn
Windows features on or off, and made sure that Tablet PC Optional Components
(which includes the Snipping Tool) is checked?

Start - All Programs - Accessories - Snipping Tool

Not there in Home Premium on my (new) HP laptop -- you must have added
something to get it to show as you specify.

Didn't add anything... on my Home Premium... It's just there...

Also, click Start - and type "snip" into the search field, finds it.

It's located at
C:\Windows\System32\SnippingTool.exe
