I have a PC with XP and Vista in a dual boot configuration. XP on C: and
Vista on D:, separate physical drives. Vista rating is 4.3.
Up until a couple of weeks ago, I could use the Snipping Tool. Now, when I
double click the desktop shortcut, the following error message appears:
The Snipping Tool is not working on your computer right now. Restart your
computer and then try again. If the problem persists, contact your system
administrator.
This is a home installation and guess that I am the system administrator.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to resurrect this application?
SnippingTool.exe is in Windows\System32. No matter how I try to start it,
the same error message appears.
Perhaps, this happened after the December updates. Also, I have Office 2007
installed. When I tried to start Word, the system went through some sort of
install. Previously, I had also been using Office 2007 applications.
Thanks,
Gordo
