Snapping Sounds

I was able to get some great info from a few of you folks the other day. So
here is another one.
If I play my Saved Wav files with Windows Media Player 10, fine, Music
Match Jukebox 10, Fine. Winamp or a few other programs, I get this SNAPPING
Sound. Like a Static discharge..... I have gone in and turned off the
Hardware Accelerator in my Audigy 2 Zs and that seems to help, but not
always. Any ideas why my Wav files are doing this? I have 4000 of them saved
on another Hard drive, they are my from my LPs and Cds. I have spent almost 3
years loading them, cleaning them etc.
I use to use Roxio CD creator 5 Platium and it was Great. Soundstream did
it all for me and I was able to rip very nicely, preview, clean and play with
zero problems.
Since I purchased a NEW Computer with two DL DVD Cd-RWs that are also
Light scribe, I found there was no current updates for Roxio that supported
my drives, so I have looked for other programs and I was told to get Winamp
Pro, I did.. snapping sounds. I purchased Music Match Jukebox 10 Plus, rips
slow, plus other problems, Record Now, won't rip in Wav format. Bulletproof
Soft rips fine, plays bad and each song has to be entered over a maze of
empty boxes, hassle.
I am in General Discussions for I have found good knowledgeable people
here.
Thanks for help.
I need to get rid of the SNAPPING Sounds.

Roxio Easy Media Creator ver. 7 will do what you want.

SOUNDSTREAM was removed with ver 6. Otherwise I would have gone to ver. 7.5
I had purchased ver 6 and they changed the simplicity of ripping from LP to
Hard Drive with the filters for Pops, noise and Normalizer. Otherwise I would
have gone with Roxio. Too much in one package, I don't care about Photos,
movies etc, I want CD Utilities to rip and clean and archive my music. I have
a very large collection. 7.5 spread themselves too thin in each category
trying to cover all the categoies.
Thanks for the response and the input though, very much appreciated.

I believe what you want is in the Easy Media Creator Sound Editor module.
Seems to do all of what CD/DVD Creator 6 did. They just moved it. Check it
out if you know someone who has it on their computer.
