Snap-in failed to initialize: .NET Framework 1.1 Configuration

When I try to access the Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 Configuration, I
get an error message:

Snap-in failed to initialize: .NET Framework 1.1 Configuration
CLSID:...

Any help?

I uninstalled .NET Framework 1.1 and then reinstalled. This seemed to
fix it.
