mmc fails to load mscorcfg.msc

Hello,

I get an error when I try to load the Microsoft .NET Framework Configuration
snap-in (1.0). I noticed someone else reported the same error but hasn't
received a response. I've tried starting the snapin from the command line
with the same results.

Can anyone tell me how to fix it? I've installed the lates 1.0 sdk and
patches.

To clarify my post, the other person who reported this problem was using
..NET framework version 1.1.

I am using version 1.0. The popup dialog box I receive reads:

Snap-in failed to initialize.
Name:.NET Framework 1.0 Configuration Manager
CLSID:{18BA7139-D88B-43C2-94DA-2604E34E175D}

I'd like to know how to correct the problem so that I can run the snapin.
