smart tags

I'm building a company directory and would like a smart
tag on every name. They are on about half. All help
documentation says smart tags only appear on people
recently emailed, but I've emailed everyone several times
today.

Just shows how little success smart tags have had since they were introduced
in Excel 2002,
I turned them off and I have never bothered since. It will be interesting if
you can find
anyone who are using them in a practical way?

interesting. i've never used them, but i saw they have
an option to convert a name into an outlook contact and
thought that would be great when seeing new employees in
a company directory. i posted the same question under
miscellaneous questions and have had no nibbles, so i
think you're on track. thanks for the response.
