Smart failure

-- I get the following error.

SMART FAILURE predicted immediately back up your data and replace your hard
disk drive. A failure may be imminent.

I purchased a new hard drive and installed Win XP home on it. I purchased
a 2.5-inch USB 2.0 Hard Drive Enclosure and put in the old hard drive in it.
I am able to have access to all files except the files under an account that
had a password to start windows.

I already started windows under safe mode as an administer and marked the
folder as shared directory but I am still unable to access the files.

Does anyone else have any ideas……
