EVO n800v laptop need Help

I have a EVO n800v compaq laptop and when "I turn it on I get this
message:
1720 SMART Hard Drive detects imminent failure (Failing
Attr:05)
what can I do to solve this problem please help me.

Sounds like the hard drive is on its last legs.

If you've got access to an alternate PC, the best recommendation I can give
is that you go out to the manufacturer's website and see if they offer any
diagnostics for the hard drives they ship with their laptops. In all
likelihood, they do, and these diagnostics can be run against the drive to
report any errors. Then, if the unit is under warranty, you can contact
their tech support directly, provide the error codes the diagnostics
reported, and that should be enough for them to help you out.

It is the hardware based monitoring system telling you the drive is
about to fail. Save a copy of anything you deem important, and then have
the drive replaced.

The best recommendation is to first backup EVERYTHING immediately that
the OP doesn't want to lose, before he harddrive fails completely.

Immanent hard drive failure. Backup all important data now - though you
should always have a full and complete backup. Replace drive.
