Event ID 7023 - 7009 - 7000

I have a COMPAQ Evo N1015v laptop, installed is Windows XP Professional
SP1-2 and all Updates. Plus "Norton Internet Security 2006" and Windows
"Firewall" disabled.

After uninstalling a Shareware Non-Windows NTP Service, the events below
happened.

Were appropriate, I have used all Microsoft Support recommendations in
trying to correct the problems.

Help is welcomed, David.

The HID (Human Interface Device) service failure is fairly common.
I've seen it fail on a number of machines. One use is with Wireless
Mice/Keyboards to display features like Num-Lock on the screen
instead of the keyboard LED. The usual fix is to reinstall the following
files to the C:\Windows\System32 folder from your source media.
1.) Hidserv.Dll
2.) MouHID.Sys
3.) MouClass.Sys
**Sometimes this service failure is due to SvcHost mappings &
requires a Registry Edit.
On the Time Server, I'd change the default server to perhaps
time.nist.gov and then do an immediate Time stamp update and see
if the PC can sync up.

I have decided to reinstall the O/S having failed to resolve the problems,
many thanks for your help.

David.
