My pc is freezing up to often even when I have few programs running. Task
manager will not even end the program and I'm forced to power down and
restart.

How do I stop this and generall speed up my pc. Especially at starup when it
takes a few minutes to load programs into the taks bar near the clock?

How do I check what programs are running hidden in the background (outside
of the task manager) and get rid of unneccasary ones?

Step 1: Rid your computer of viruses and spyware.
Step 2: Reduce the number of programs starting with Windows.
Step 3: Maintain your computer, e.g. defrag as necessary, run the Disk
Cleanup Wizard.

To check what programs are running on your computer, look at Task Manager
(CTRL+ALT+DEL).

Yeah, the defrag is done as is the disk cleanup and unused software
uninstalled. Just have the latest Norton. what is the prefered spyware? and
any other little things to speed up the system?
