Slower Internet ?

First off i turn on my computer and the computer/internet
is fine. After about 20 minutes or so I see that my
internet has slowed down. When i first turned on my
computer i was sending and receiving about 100 packets on
my local area connection thingy. After 20 mins it goes up
to around 40 000 packets and i am wondering why it does
this. I restart my computer and still the same thing
happens.

I am not sure if this is supposed to happen or if its a
problem. My web browsers often get closed because of some
error and im not sure of what went wrong.

Please give me information about this problem and if it
can be fixed. Thanks a bunch

Have you tried scanning your computer with an up to date AntiVirus
application and/or something like Spybot or Ad Aware?
