slower dsl

- ever since i swapped my 5600 modem for the 5100 it
hasn't performed as before. when i click on something...it
takes a while to get there...with dsl it shouldn't. i also
am getting 2 messages each time i bring up my computer.
one says "memory access violation in module kernel32 at
5392:53675826"...the other shows " windows cannot open
this file...file TFTP3252" are these things anything to
dowith the slowing of the computer. i have already run the
disc cleanup...what can i do??? tim

I believe you may be infected with the Swen virus. If not Swen, then
some other bug. What does a scan with a current (post-2002 version
using updated definitions) antivirus program show?

WTF is a 5600 or 5100 Modem? That's like telling somebody that I want
specific mechanical advice on my 2002 car, got giving them a
make/model!

You might as well just post and say "Help me, something is wrong with
something in my thing with a big TV, slidy thingy that makes an arrow
on the TV move, and a key thingy with letters on it."
