Hi john

Your question is kind of strange, if you use a 9X startup disk your XP
machine will boot to a dos command prompt, obviously porvided you have FAT32
disk and not NTFS you will be able to use DOS commands and work on your C:
drive. You will NOT be able to load Win XP from the command prompt.

Once the disk is removed it will then load use the XP boot loader, therefore
unless you have done anything to your boot files, the answer to your
question is NO.

Hope this helps

Jeff
