Shaun

I have deleted the excessive programs in the run from the
registry and have checked for spyware, but I can't figure
out why after I login it takes a long time for the login
prompt to leave and windows to open for use. I don't
know what is going on behind there that is slowing it up,
but it was fast when i first got it.

Any help?

thank you

I just noticed you already did my first suggestion, the
only other thing I can think of,if everything you did
don't help then it just must be your anti-virus software
and other programs you added since new.How slow are we
talking? You can go into your startup
(>run>msconfig>startup)and uncheck everything and add one
back at a time to find the culprit....Good luck.
