Slow typing and keystroke problems

You probably could reduce the priority of any program that runs constantly
and have the same result. I personally got a faster CPU and the problem was
gone. As an alternate, you may find that if you have a dual core CPU that
it would help if you manually changed the affinity of some processes to the
other core. Look at your task manager and see if you are hitting 100%
frequently, especially on one core.

I've just gotten a new comp with Windows Vista installed in it. Everything is
working fine except for this very annoying problem, and I wonder if Vista's
to do with it since I never had such issues with Windows XP. Thing is, as I
type, letters appear slower on the screen than the speed at which I am
typing, and some letters fail to appear. I checked the drivers and they're
all working fine, its just that I can't seem to type quickly and I've to
backtrack and re-edit my sentences over and over due to the skipped letters.

It's a 2 gig RAM the computer is running on, so I don't think its lack of
memory. And sadly, there's no function to 'increase keyboard sensitivity' or
anything like that... Is anyone out there having the same problem, and can
someone suggest the root problem and a solution to this please? It's driving
me nuts!

Thanks...

Are you using a wireless bluetooth keyboard/mouse by any chance? I
have seen a typing lag/missed letters issue with those (on both my
machine before I returned the keyboard, and on other machines).
