slow start

vze3psgh2003

My computer takes at least 1 to 3 minutes to start up
after the screen with logo and moving bar. The screen
goes to black and just sits there. Can anyone please tell
me how to fix this.

Old computer: took 10 to 30 sec
1 gig AMD
512 SDRAM

New Computer: takes 1 to 3 min
2.6 gig AMD
512 DDR

I presume you are using XP?

Do a Google search for the Microsoft Free Program BOOTVIS .

Download, Run and select Trace/ Optimise System and let it run. It will
reboot the PC and ensure all drivers etc:- are optimised in their start-up
order.

It can make a great difference.
