HI just want to bring this point back up about slow start u
THE PROBLE
Switch computer on then it takes a few minutes upto 5 mins for anything to happen and the tune to play before the rest of the prorams boot up. This seems to have started from early JAN 04 and maybe todo with a Norton update from around that time. Pervoius to this everyyhing loaded on switch on with no slow down
TRYED FIX
scan for viruses > clea
scan adware > clea
scan sybot S+D >clea
all cookies,temp files etc empt
msconfig changed start up options > NO change in start u
cleaned prefetch > NO change in start u
looked on the Norton web page about this problem and i have the current ccevtmgr.exe (this page is full of technical rubbish and not much help
All so the verisign site but the link to the fix has not changed anything on my pc (guess iam uptodate
left comments on Norton web site > no help ye
If anybody eles has this problem or no of any more help or were i can go from here please leave a comment on the theard shown belo
