Please post copies of all Error and Warning Reports appearing in
the System and Application logs in Event Viewer for the last boot. No
Information Reports or Duplicates please. Indicate which also appear in
a previous boot.

You can access Event Viewer by selecting Start, Control Panel,
Administrative Tools, and Event Viewer. When researching the meaning
of the error, information regarding Event ID, Source and Description
are important.

Part of the Description of the error will include a link, which you
should double click for further information. You can copy using copy

A tip for posting copies of Error Reports! Run Event Viewer and double
click on the error you want to copy. In the window, which appears is a
button resembling two pages. Click the button and close Event
Viewer. Now start your message (email) and do a paste into the body of
the message. Make sure this is the first paste after exiting from
Event Viewer.

I have similar problems. @ minutes to the welcome screen about 15 minutes
from there until IE opens thepage for my password! I switched from Dialup
to DSL and have a slower connect time. Once I finaly reach the internet
pages download faster.

I frequently Try Ctrl+Alt+Delete and end the IE that is not responding
over & over until it ends. Then I click on all the send error report
messages that appeared.
I have tried leaving my PC on to avoid the long boot up but after a few
days it gets just as slow.

I can usually shutdown okay, it just takes a few minutes and usually is
waiting on _PTAWIA to end.

I have defraged and have started removing programs I do not use. Any
suggestions on how to get a reasonable speed on my HPpavillion 751n?
