slow scrollling in IE 6.0

My scrolling ability while in IE 6.0 is so s-l-o-w!!!
I read somewhere that if I go back to IE5.5 this might
eliminate the slowness of my scroll. any comments????

What version of your operating system are you running?
Do you know how to check the CPU utilization? If you are
running 2000 or XP, you can bring up the task manager and
it will show you what is taking all your CPU usage.
