IE 6.0 SP2 very slow browsing?

Hi:

I read all the posts but, my IE 6.0 sp2 and netscape 8.0 are runnning very
very slow, 20 seconds to open a page compared to 1 sec. on other users pcs,
my systems is very clean, recently got infected with virus and i cleaned
it.... any ideas?

PS. that virus (as I read) affects internet optimizer?!!! what is that?

Frequently the removal of a virus causes damage to the system. Check with
your ISP to be sure that your TCP/IP settings are what the ISP requires. You
may need to reinstall TCP/IP.

"Internet Optimizer" is not part of Windows.

Thanks for the input, but how can I reinstall TCP/IP protocol?

No luck, I had reset the TCP/IP stack, pinging tests were fine, still my
browser goes on a blank trip for 15 - 25 seconds before I get any pages.

Also checked IP filtering
Windows firewall
Gateway pinging.
