Slow response after pressing CTRL-ALT-DEL

System loaded via RIS. After sometime being configured to a domain user.
The workstation suddenly performed so slow on log on.

From warm bootup and pressing CTRL-ALT-DEL, login dialog box took some time
(5-10 minutes) to display and after entering user id and password.

The system has a novell client btw.. any other necessary info can be provided.
