Slow receiving mail Outlook 2003

Last two days I can't get my email using Outlook 2003. Same computer, I
setup Outlook Express and got all my mail in seconds. Also turned off McAfee
email scans. Still slow in Outlook.

Did yo install the Business Contacts? That will make
outlook very slow...

also check to make sure in Outlook there is nothing stuck
in the outbox...
 
I've changed nothing. It only started happening yesterday. Nothing in
outbox. It's stuck on Receiving message 4 of 74 (4.02KB of 178KB). There are
no large messages. Perhaps maybe some spammers have figured out a way to gum
up the new Outlook?
