slow printing

I have a pc with XP Home and something has changed and my printing is very
very slow. It seems like when I boot up and print the first page sometimes
prints normal and it is down hill after that. I have na HP all in one
printer. Any thoughts on what to change and how to get to that page. I have
tried reinstalling the printer software but no change.

When was the last time you did some general housekeeping on your PC.... ran
an antivirus scan, used diskcleanup, defragged the hard drive etc?

Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the AIO?

Do you have numerous other USB devices attached to the PC? If so, on a
powered or unpowered hub?

I did a diskcleanup and reinstalled the drivers and things seen to be
