Slow PC

I have a couple of WIn 2000 PC Running really slow. When I
click on anything the CPU goes to 100% and it takes
roughly 45 sec to open anything. I have all the latest def
files for NAV Corp. Ed.. I have run Adaware,spybot S&D and
Hijackthis. with nothing coming up. If anyone can send me
in the right direction with this one it would be great.

More than likely some service or app if your AV stuff is current and you
don't suspect anything there. Have task mgr open to processes when you try
to open something and see what jumps up or just what's taking resources
(either ram or cpu). You can also start disabling sevices/apps as well
until the problem goes away, or disable everything the box doesn't need to
boot, and then start adding things back in until you see the problem show
back up again.

Had a user with a similar issue just recently, ran system Defrag to clear up
his issue.
