Slow Page

I have one page on my website and it takes 90 sec. to open. (one picture
only) The url is http://bytheindigorabbit.com. Microsoft Office Live Beta is
the server. Originally they told me to optimize the computer and also
delete and republished the site. When I tried to delete the site I couldn't
delete everything, but did what I could and republished. The files I can't
delete are left over from before FrontPage when I was exploring to see what
Office Live had to offer as far as templates, galleries, etc. None of this
is needed and I really need to get rid of them.

This page ( http://bytheindigorabbit.com/auction_o.coral_img.htm) is not
linked to the home page and isn't meant to be but it opens immediately.

I have a cable connection. I talked to Office Live again and they told me
it was the ISP, my connection is too slow (2.7Mbps when I tested it last
night) I talked to Earthlink and did what they told me as far as unplugging
the modem, waiting, etc. and was promised that was the fix.

It is still taking 90 sec. to open the site. What have I done and are there
any suggestions for fixing it other than removing FrontPage and starting over?

The page takes 2 minutes to load on my system - with a JavaScript error.
The biggest difference I can see in the rendered code (obviously I cannot
see what is going on in the server) is the home page calls seven external
JavaScript files, the other page doesn't.
Could the JavaScript be slowing down the rendering?

In FireFox, with JavaScript disabled, the page renders in seconds. With
JavaScript enabled, the page does not render at all (still waiting after 4
minutes)

Well, I wondered what was causing the hold up.

Using my ISP connection, which by international standards is not fast (I think it is 1MBps), it didn't seem to take too long to
load, using IE6 - I would say less than 1 minute (I could try again and time it, but it didn't seem like 2 minutes)

But the question remains - why?
I could only see two images and neither large, so it must be the JavaScript.
I assume to solve this requires looking at the JS.

I fixed the Java Script, actually I removed it and everywhere I checked it
from it seems to be o.k. now, so I thank you very much. I wouldn't mind if
someone else checked it though to make sure

I would have never, ever figured that out by myself. You guys are the only
ones that seem to have enough since to check the code. I'll come here first
next time.

That sounds good, but I hope you don't actually need any of the JavaScript. I can look at the site again, but to check everywhere
might be a bit difficult since I don't know where "everywhere" is, or what should happen at each stage. Do you know what functions
were in it or what it was for?

I suppose some of us have enough *sense* to check the code, not enough *since*.

other sites. Also, from other profiles on my computer and from another
computer with a different ISP here at home.
