Slow My Computer opening

XP or W2k Pro on Novell network. Doesn't matter if the
mapped drive is a Novell drive or a windows share from our
Windows AD domain. 100 MB Network running good.


Click on My computer then a mapped drive to open it.


It may take 30-60 seconds for a response.
Once a particular drive has been Opened the next click
gets a immediate response.

Kill time appears to be 10 - 15 min.

Not Autodisconnect parameter of Lanmanserver or the server
equalivant. Have those set to 65K+

Hello,

Try binding TCP above all other protocols.

and disable the autodisconnect all together via the command prompt:

"net config server /autodisconnect:-1"
