Loosing Mapped Drives

Hi all,

We have a small network and our Server is NT4/SP6a with Proxy2 and Exchange
5.5. The clients are either NT4, W2K Prof or W2K Member Server (1 only),
which all have mapped network drives to the NT4 Server.

Only the W2K Server has a problems with its Mapped Drives, as they have a
red X thru them after about 2-3 mins of inactivity.

The NT4 and W2K Servers have AutoDisconnect disabled.
ie net config server /autodisconnect:-1

Any ideas why I'm loosing the mapped drives so quickly?

Try looking at the Knowledge Base Article 297684 (Mapped
Drive Connection to Network share May Be Lost) This will
tell you how to use the registry editor to increase the
default time out period for your mapped drives.
