Slow machine, brand new

My machine is VERY slow to respond to basic commmands
such as right click, running programs etc. It has been
like this since new (3 months old).

I have checked the obvious like background applications,
defrag, etc. but nothing helps. It has all the latest
updates. It's connected to a LAN at 100mps and all other
XP machines are fine.

Spec is: Pent. 2.00 GHz, 120Mb RAM, 80GB hard-drive.

Please help!

Am having slow response when opening browsers, programs,
etc. Once opened, programs respond well but overall
everything is slow. Download speed online is in T1 range
but it seems to take forever to get going. XP
Professional clean boot from CD> Any suggestions? Is this
possibly due to CPU in need of upgrade?

You need more ram, try 512 mb if you are using Windows Xp.
