slow keystroke response

My problem seems the same as Nick Dumble. By mistake I held the SHIFT key down too long. A box appeared about sticky keys - I unfortunately chose the wrong options and now it takes over a second for type to appear after striking a key.

i would appreciate help.

I'm sorry peteer, but I don't think there is a possible way to get rid of sticky keys once you've activated it. I had the same problem with my old computer. I got rid of it.

Very Sorry.

It is one of the accessibility option settings accessible from Windows
control panel. Uncheck the relevant box.

Hi, peteer. To turn off sticky keys, in Windows click on Start | Control Panel | Accessibility, and uncheck the "Use sticky keys" box. You can also disable the keyboard shortcut that activates sticky keys from this menu.

Turn off Sticky Keys through Start | Settings | Control Panel |
Accessibility Options. The default shortcut for turning it on is to press
the Shift key five times, which may be what you did. The same shortcut will
turn it off. There is also a "Show Sticky Keys status on screen" option that
may provide a way to turn it off.
