Slow internet

My internet connection (nominally 10Mb) is intermittently very slow at the
moment. I have a wireless home network. I suspect the network is slow, but
is there any way of ruling out the router as the cause of the problem?

i'm sure your internet
service provider can do a test
to see if the slow down is on
their side of the router or your
side.

have you checked out your isp's
website for faq's on slow connections
and or customer assistance?

you can customize
the size of your virtual memory/pagefile

go to > control panel > systems >
advance > performance > advance > change

there you will see your harddrive and
a measurement of the size of the virtual
memory.

you can set for a custom size for min 2 and
max 1152 then click on set, ignore the
error msg and reboot.

you should see an improvement. if not
then there may be other issues involved.
