My internet is very slow to get to a page. I have dial up so I expect this, but this is much slower. My pages and my downloads freeze up. I have done a virus scan with McAfee, and it returns clean. I have spybot, and adware 6. It says everything is alright accept for the ocasional spyware that I can fix. I don't know what to do since I am not too computer litterate yet. Please help.

Try going to tools>internet>options>general and delete cookies and temporary internet files.

On dial up there is much to check.
I found my phone company at fault.
They had a bad 'box', every 4th connect or so I got a slow line.

One time was my problem with the line to the wall from the back of the
pc. I replaced it and got better response.
If the line you use is 'noisy' you may have a bad line.
Ask the phone company to check their side out.

Check your connect speeds.
Also had a problem after a lightening strike,
my 56kb modem failed to operate above 33k.

good luck,

ps finally got wireless 1.5m down 512kb up
