My home page is very slow to come up. Is there possibly a java problem?
What should I be looking for?

More likely your connection, ISP or large images.

Can you provide an URL?

How slow is slow - in the context of your question - 5 minutes? 10 minutes? 30
seconds?
what is your connection type & speed - dialup, dsl, cable etc.?
