Slow first start of a program after boot up.

Hi,

I have this strange problem with a program.

Every time after booting up my machine, the first startup of that program
takes about 30 to 60 seconds.
The second, third etc time that I start the program, it starts lightning
fast (less than a second).

Why is that first start after booting up my machine so slow.

Thanks

What program is this?

You might want to make sure that the SuperFetch service is running. This can
help for this type of behavior.

Press WINKEY+R and type services.msc in the Run dialog box. Press OK.

In the Services window, scroll down and double click Superfetch. Make sure
the Startup Type is set to Automatic (Delayed start). The delayed start is
to make sure that this service doesn't interfere with other startup
processes.

What Superfetch does is pre-load certain files, based on your habits and
which programs you start the most. It takes it a while to monitor your
habits, but it does help.
