Hi all,
I have a brand new Dell PC with 1GB ram, P4, etc. I have two users
on the system, but it goes to a black screen and takes about 35 seconds
to switch between them.
Any idea what the heck could be causing this or what i can do to try
and improve and lower the time to switch between them?

thanks!we

It depends upon what you have running when you switch users.

Any program, service, utility etc. that is running on your side consumes
resources that are NOT released when you switch users (the program keep
running as if you are still logged on). If you then "switch" back, instead
of logging off when the second user is finished, the resources that his/her
side are using are locked - and will slow down your side.
