Slow Custom Animations With PPT 2003 on Windows 2000

I have several Powerpoint Presentations which were created using Powerpoint
2003 running on Windows XP.

Whilst running the presentations on Windows XP, the Custom Animations all
run at the correct speed.

However for work reasons, I need to run them on Powerpoint 2003 installed on
a laptop running Windows 2000. When i do this the custom animations are
slowed right down to the point where they appear to have stalled. A one
second animation delay seems to take about 10 seconds.

Has anyone else encountered this problem and is there an easy fix?

Thanks in advance

Ian

Hi Ian,

In all honesty, I doubt it is Win 2000 itself causing it as I had the
reverse. Animations ran much better under win 2000. Video drivers, graphics
acceleration and system resources?

Drivers and such?

I'd be interested in knowing how the PPT03 Viewer would run those files on
that same system...
