animations slow or jerky

D

David O.

We have many Powerpoint files created in Office 2003 and now that we are
moving to Office 2007 we have a problem. The animations are much
slower/jerky than in Office 2003. In Office 2003 on the same PC it will
appear at normal speed but in 2007 they are horrendously slow. The
animations are both text and pictures.

Any solutions?

Thank you,
David

David,

I don't know for sure - but I reckon powerpoint 2007 uses a new way of
displaying presentations. For some things it's not so smooth... but it's
probably better in the long run as it can probably cope with higher
resolutions.

I'm only guessing this.. I have no hard proof - just what my eyes see

Hi,

I agree with TAJ. Presentations I ran in 2003 don't run as well in 2007.
However, in 2003, they ran well with hardware acceleration turned on. In
2007, they work almost as well with it turned off!

How to set graphics hardware acceleration back

I'd love you to report back on how it goes.
