Tammy, how much Disk Space you have on your computer and RAM?.
Did you clean up the clutter lately on your Desktop by emptying the Recycle
Bin, Disk CleanUp and Defrag in Safe Mode.
Do you have Anti-Virus and Anti-spyware to protect your computer from
infection and did you get the updates for them and run Scan regularly?.
- If the above Yes then try to look in the Event Viewer for Error messages.
Press ALT+CTRL+DEL and see what process is taking the CPU Usage like this
Isass.exe 90% or something similar.
