slow computer

my computer is very slow,just started this on saturday.It took me about 15
minutes to get to microsoft just to post question. I have done a disk clean
up and deleted lots of things we did not need.I keep getting program not
responding and it will say 20 internets running.any sugestions? rita

Where does "it" say 20 Internets are running? (Where did you see this info?)
Likely cause is malware. Do a search for Spybot Search and Destroy (on the
Net).
Download it, install, update it ,run the search and destroy.
You may also use the "Search" on this forum, topic- Slow Computer, for
other ideas.

It does look like spyware has got to your system.Run updated scans with
Spybot and Adaware. Also run chkdsk and since u deleted lots of stuff,
defragment your hard disk to prevent it from getting fragmented and
slowing things down. Some links
