Hello!!
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs has 37 folders..Can
this be a reason my computer is so slow?..Usually takes between 15 to 20
mins to settle down and it still takes a while to browse at all.. The box
asking to send error report to MS comes up alot....Nick

nope, Id check for spyware/malware if I were you.
The reason for the loading slowly, is all the stuff that loads upon booting,
check your msconfig for unknown software/processes that load on windows start.

It is very unlikely that the reason your computer is slow has anything to do
with the number of entries in your Start Menu. Slowness is usually caused
by virus/malware infection and/or too many programs or processes running in
the background. Having a hard drive that is too full or failing can also
cause slowness.

Be sure the computer is clean:

No, the number of folders is not why you find it slow.

Much more relevant is the system specs and what is being loaded.

What you are describing is that software is crashing. Paying attention to
the details of the error report and msconfig will help a lot.

If the procedures look too complex - and there is no shame in admitting this
isn't your cup of tea - take the machine to a local, reputable and
independent (i.e., not BigBoxStoreUSA or Geek Squad) computer repair shop.
