Slow browser

Pages that took mere seconds to load in the past are now
taking minutes and are at times timing out.

The problem seemed to start sometime after I downloaded
the virus protection patches

Anyone have a solution to get me back up to speed??
 
Looks like Jim Miller (another poster) and I have a
similiar problem. I have tried all of the typical
internet options changes, and like Jim, the defrag didn't
help.

Like with Jim this cropped up suddenly.
