Has anyone heard of a program that analyzes your pc's ap.s then tellsw you what ones that don't need to active on boot up by the name of saluto( this may not be spelled properly)? I heard something about it on CBC radio.

You could actually go through the programs yourself to see what is needed. Generally those that have your name next to them are not needed on start up, but those that have System next to them are needed. Although not all are needed. You can trim them down..
