Slow Boot-up with Network adapter

I have a new Fujitsu laptop (runns XP home). Just
installed a wireless network adapter and now XP takes 5 -
10 mins to reboot.

Tried another card (different make) this is also slow,
although not as slow as the first.

Both work OK in another laptop running professional.

The system appears to be searching while it is booting
up, once up and running all is fine. Taking the card out
to reboot then pushing in once the system is up resolves
the problem, but I don't want to keep having to do
this.

Anyone help?

I dont have much help for you I'm affraid. I also
experience this problem, its really quite annoying, I
wouldnt mind hearing a solution.

My current work around is disabling the wireless LAN
before i shutdown, with it disabled itll boot at the
normal speed, without you having to need to take the card
out.

Good idea, however it's still a total pain. Would like to
know if anyone else suffers this. If I find a fix I'll
let you know.

Cheers

John

Yup, i also had this problem;
i pulled the card out so many times it broke!
wouldn't mind hearing a solution.
