Have to reboot PC everytime I reboot wireless network

Hi, I haved a wireless network set up using a DLINK DSL-G604T with a
desktop and laptop connected wirelessly. The desktop runs XP SP2 and
uses a Marvell wireless network card. The laptop runs Vista and uses
an Intel network adapter. When I reboot the DLINK I nearly always (90%
plus) have to re-boot the desktop to get it to re-connect to the
network, yet the laptop re-connects almost instantly.

I have read that there is an issue with XP SP2 not re-connecting after
a network reboot. Has anyone else has the same problem and
(hopefully!) found a solution.

Cheers John

XP should reconnect instantly as well. If you have a second network adapter
in the desktop (ethernet) try disabling it.

I ran into something similar quite a while ago, which turned out to be a
firewall issue. The firewall detected the rebooted router as a new network
connection and blocked access to it. Switched to a different firewall.
