Slooooowwww Shutdown and Log Off

I have a Windows 2000 Pro Workstation that is taking 3 to
9 minutes to log off or shutdown.

I have uninstalled "suspect" software, as well as reviewed
all the services and nothing appears to be out of the
ordinary.

Also I have recently applied SP2 and the behavior
continues.

Any clues on where to look next?
