Slooooow start up???

Is there a MS product that would analyze my XP start-
up?? It takes like 2.5 minutes to completely start-
up... I disabled my virus software and still took same
amt of time?? Thanks for you help...!!!

Go to Start/Run type in msconfig, hit enter, go to the tab
on the right called Startup, see how many programs are
listed as running, apparently it may be all of them,
therefore your resources are being gobbled up.

carefully check all those you can stop at startup, do
yourself a favor I'm not ure of the site but Google search
for a site describing those items you should not stop.

This may alleviate the issue.

BootVis. Contrary to the latest propaganda it does initiate and optimize the OS for faster boot times. It could shave up to 35 secs off yours. You should also make sure that all boot paths are valid. go>start\run\type in msconfig and then click the boot.ini tab and then the check boot paths button and see what you get. Also make sure that you don't have full files or programs on your desktop. There should only be shortcuts there. Make sure you don't have too many programs loading at startup. Turn off any unecessary services www.blkviper.com has a good setup for that. Make sure you have the boot optimizer turned on g0>start\run and type in regedit and click ok then navigate this route by clickin the + beside the entries in this order HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\DFRG\BootOptimizeFunction and make sure Enable is set to y in the right panel. Make sure your system is defragged and that you have run chkdsk. Get a good reg cleaner. and so on and so on. Good luck.

I have the same problem with one of my computers. It may be
because of an internal problem with the computer. But it
also depends on your computer specs. It s hard to tell
where the problem is. If you sent me the specs than maybe I
