Win2K I am not sure about, but you can certainly do an XP Home on an XP
Pro machine. I have done so. And I do not see any reason why you
should not do it on any machine, provided you realise that you need a
folder of files from the original XP CD, another of files extracted from
the *full* SP2 exe file, and then use a slipstream tool to merge the one
into the other. You also need the boot sectors to join in the burn,
which would need to come from an XP CD; doing an initial boot to a 2K
setup would make no sense
