Slideshow stopped when opening another application

I have powerpoint 2000 installed on windows2000pro sp4 and two monitors attached to that PC. I do the slideshow through the secondary monitor, and it works well until when I try do some text job with Ms word2000 or other appliations. The slideshow freezes on the second monitor, I have to resume the slideshow.

The problem is that I can not do slideshow on second monitor and at same time when I can use other application to work on primary monitor. Is there anyone can help me fix this problem?

PS-In my PC, I have two graphic cards and one CPU.

Thanks,
Norm

Hello Norm,

PowerPoint does not have the built-in capability to show and control
multiple slide shows simultaneously.

If you (or anyone else reading this message) feel strongly that PowerPoint
should include some additional features around multiple monitors and
multiple slide shows (without requiring an add-in or additional software),
don't forget to send your feedback to Microsoft at:

As with all product suggestions, it's important that you not just state
your wish but also WHY it is important to you that your product suggestion
be implemented by Microsoft. Microsoft receives thousands of product
suggestions every day and we read each one but, in any given product
development cycle, there are only sufficient resources to address the ones
that are most important to our customers so take the extra time to state
your case as clearly and completely as possible.

IMPORTANT: Each submission should be a single suggestion (not a list of
suggestions).
