Slide Transitions

Using PowerPoint 2002 - Can anyone tell me how to adjust the transition time
from one slide to another? The only controls I see are Manual or
Automatically after XX seconds but the Automatic control doesn't seem to
have any effect. Some of my slides, in a 10 slide presentation, are
changing a little to fast thereby preventing displayed text (w/entrance
animation) from being read totally.

Hope you can understand my dilemma.

Sometimes it's best to start over.

P.S. I've used decimal points effectively in slide
timings on occasion, you can try 1.5, 2.5, etc. for the
automatic timings.
