slide transitions w/ custom animation

I have a ppt presentation w/ custom animation set for five-second
intervals automatically. However, after the last graphic or text box
appears, the slide transitions nearly instantaneously to the next
slide. I have the slide transitions set for five seconds throughout the
entire presentation. Is there an easy way to slow down the transition or
do I need to go back and reset each slide transition one at a time?

The five seconds transition starts at the START of the slide. If the
animations take longer than the time set the transition is immediate once
they have finished. The simplest answer is to add an 'after previous'
invisible animation at the end that takes a few seconds . eg a shape OFF
SLIDE with a very slow fade in
