Slide transitions with music

I have created a presentation. I have set the slides to auctomaticaly
transition after 3 seconds. I have inserted music that I have set to loop
and play throughout the presentation. I have set the music to play and end
after 99 slides. But when I go to play the presentation, the slides do not
transition, it just stays ion the first slide. I have tried several things,
and when I made some changes, the cslides would transition, but the song kept
re-started at the begining of every single slide.

Where is the music inserted? If you insert it through Insert > Movies and
Sounds > Sound from File, you should insert the music on the first slide and
not at the slide master.

If you inserted the music through slide show > slide transition, you should
NOT apply to all slides. If you have done so, set it to [No Sound], then
click Apply to all slides to clear the music. Then, re-select the music again
on the first slide.

I took this step and for some reason it stays on slide one. Do I click on loop?

I also noticed that the music played showing the 1st slide only and then when
the song was done playing the remaining slides started showing at the 5
second intervals.
